Laura Starks, PT
Biography:
Laura Starks, DPT, is a physical therapist and board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist who enjoys treating patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions ranging from post-operative rehabilitation, chronic illness/pain management and return to sport after acute injury.
As a physical therapist, Laura incorporates each patient’s unique goals for rehabilitation – whether returning to household tasks or elite athletics – into a comprehensive and individualized treatment plan to fit each patient’s needs. She serves as a credentialed clinical instructor and enjoys teaching and helping physical therapy students refine their craft. She is excited to teach physical therapist assistant students at Pikes Peak Community College’s new PTA program.
Dr. Starks received her undergraduate and Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS and Kansas City, KS. She obtained her board certification as an orthopedic clinical specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association.
When not treating patients, Laura enjoys keeping up with her two children, singing in choir, exploring beautiful Colorado, and playing water sports.
